1. What is the SQB?
The SQB (Squad Battles) are very organized matches of Squad. Clans as well as public players will be able to register on this forum for the events. They can register for simply squadmember (PFC, private 1st class) or 1st Lietenant, the person in charge of the squadmembers but also following Squadleaders ("Captain") orders.
There will be one commander per team, he will be allowed to play with any squad too if he wants to.
There will be maximum 6 players per squad, to have more squadleaders for a variety of squad-tasks.
The Squad battles are every weekend, one Squad battle consists of 2 rounds of Squad on one evening, with a 15 minute briefing before the 1st round and a 10 minute break in between both rounds.
2. What is the current status of the SQB?
On hold until we find somebody that has these maps on his server.
3. What do I need to play in the SQB?
You must be at least 16 years of age to participate for this SQB.
You won't need much else, but you will need the following:
- Enough free time to regularly attend battles and practices.
- Discord. See below for how it is being used in the SQB.
- It is also required to have a microphone. Please make sure you have a functioning microphone before signing up.
- download the following maps from Steam Workshop (links in article): squad.gamepedia.com/Steam_workshop_maps
4. How do I join the SQB?

5. How is the SQB organized?
DanielNL and Jarven are the managers, please take any issues to them directly.
5.1 Are there fixed squads?
Yes, there will be a number of fixed squads for each team. Both teams can, and do, set up their squads and platoons differently.
5.2 Is there a chain of command?
Yes, there is. In fact, the chain of command is one of the most important things in the SQB as it is a big part of a realistic experience. It works as such:
Commander (also Squadleader in a squad)
Squadleader
Captain
1st Lieutenant
Private 1st class (PFC)
If you have a problem or an issue, you will tell the 1st Lieutenant, who will tell the Squad Leader if the problem/issue is not resolved and so on to the top of the chain. If you have a problem with anyone, talk to the person directly above them in the chain of command. If you have a problem with your team's commander, please contact an admin.
5.3 What do the acronyms mean?
The following acronyms are used in the SQB:
[SQB-Mgr] = Event Manager

You are expected to be friendly and respectful to all others, including the opposing team. You are expected not to use any form of exploits or cheats. You are expected to attend practices and battles regularly. Failure to do any of these may result in punishment. Read the SQB Rules & Regulations for more details.
